Golf scramble being planned for April

The LaRue County Chamber of Commerce is seeking your input on the future needs of youth sports in LaRue County.

A meeting will be 6:30-8 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Hodgenville Civic Center.

The general public is invited to meet with representatives of city and county government, high school coaches, youth sports and Parks and Recreation.

Bylaws updated

The Chamber has updated its bylaws to add a youth board member beginning July 1. A student will be selected each year to serve on the board.

Leadership LaRue

The 2009-2010 Leadership LaRue County Class continues to meet each month. Bob Sims, LaRue County Director of Community and Economic Development, is leading the January session on Economic Development and Industry. LG&E is the luncheon sponsor. The February meeting will be an overnight trip to Frankfort during the Kentucky Legislative Session. The class will meet with Rep. Dottie Sims and Sen. Carroll Gibson.

Golf scramble

A date will soon be announced for the Chamber’s annual April Golf Scramble. Select your team of four players and call the Chamber to join in the spring golf fun.
