CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Golf scramble being planned

-A A +A

By Jessica Chambers, Chamber Director

Happy April!
It looks like winter is finally behind us. The LaRue County Chamber of Commerce has been, and continues to be, busily involved with a number of activities including planning and preparing for two important events.
The first event is our biggest fundraiser of the year. The Chamber will hold its 17th Annual Golf Scramble on April 30. We hold this event to offset operation expenses and to provide an opportunity for our community to come together and have a good time.
Even if you are not a golfer, we still hope that you will come out and support the chamber.
The scramble will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Free lunch is provided to golfers and volunteers. We are looking for volunteers to help with the golf scramble. There is a $5,000 hole-in-one contest and many other prizes. If you would like to be a hole sponsor, donate a door prize or enter a team, please contact the chamber office today.
Our annual dinner, the chamber’s other big event, is scheduled for June 23. As always, we will have a great meal, an entertaining speaker, and an opportunity to recognize people for their involvement in the community. We hope you make plans to be there. Stay tuned for more details.
The Chamber of Commerce April luncheon is set for noon, April 20 at The Lincoln Museum Community Room. Shirley Pond, with Atria Assisted Living will speak. Cost is $6 and the luncheon is open to members and non-members. RSVP by noon, April 19.
