A Central Hardin High School graduate who was lost at sea is remembered as a respectful person who loved his family and the military.
Jon Gibson, a 1999 graduate, is presumed dead after the U.S. Navy MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter on which he was a crewmember crashed Sunday, Sept. 22 into the Red Sea. Three crewmembers were rescued, but the search was suspended Monday for Gibson and another member, according to a news release from the U.S. Navy. Their survival after the amount of time that has passed is “extremely unlikely,” according to the release.
