The case of a 30-year-old Hodgenville man charged with first-degree rape of a young teen will be heard by a LaRue County grand jury.
Troy Eugene Tarter was arrested Jan. 2 at a relative’s house following an extended investigation, according to LaRue County Deputy Matt Darst.
Tarter was charged also with first-degree sodomy, first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of unlawful transaction with a minor.
In LaRue District Court last week, Tarter waived his right to a preliminary hearing. The charges will be heard by a grand jury.
Tarter is lodged in the LaRue County Jail under a $250,000 cash bond.
