LaRue County school bus #111 was out of commission Thursday afternoon when its turbo-charged diesel engine leaked oil and blew plumes of black smoke out the exhaust. The driver pulled in the parking lot of South Fork Baptist Church. Another bus was sent to transport the 50-or-so children home. It was feared the bus was on fire and Buffalo and Magnolia fire departments were dispatched to the scene. Nathan Wheeler, who works in the bus garage, said there was about a 10-minute delay on the bus route.
