BASKETBALL: LaRue locks up top seed

-A A +A

By Ryan O'Gara

Ivy Brown didn’t just do a little bit of everything to get the LaRue County Lady Hawks back on track Sunday afternoon – the senior forward did a lot of everything.

Coming off its first 18th District loss in nearly two years, LaRue County rebounded behind Brown’s 28 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists to top visiting Caverna, 67-45.

Just two days after a slow start plagued them in a one-point loss to Green County, the Lady Hawks led by 13 after the first quarter and kept the lead in double digits throughout.
