The LaRue County Hawks whipped Nelson County Feb. 5, 71-41.
Senior guard Kelton Ford nearly outscored the homestanding Cardinals by himself, finishing with 34 points as the Hawks won for the fifth time in six games.
Ford almost had a quadruple-double as he had 10 steals, eight rebounds and seven assists, while junior forward Tyler Howell added 13 points and eight rebounds.
Junior forward Kody Key-Close scored nine points, while senior guard Dustin Coulter and sophomore forward Caleb Sheffer each scored five.
