Grocery, liquor and convenience stores in Bardstown can sell packaged liquor on Sundays starting July 1. Bardstown City Council unanimously passed second reading of the ordinance Tuesday. May 12, allowing the sales in all three store types as well as altering the hours for Sunday liquor-by-the-drink sales. The ordinance calls for hours for all liquor sales on Sunday to be 1 p.m.-midnight. They had previously been 2 p.m.-midnight. The ordinance allows sales until 1 a.m. on New Year’s Eve.
