Band of Hawks head to state finals

The LaRue County High School Band of Hawks will compete tonight in Bowling Green for a chance to win a state championship.

The Kentucky Music Educators Association is conducting its marching band finals in five classifications at Western Kentucky University. During semifinal contests earlier today, the top four bands in each class qualified to compete again in the finals.

LaRue County's Band of Hawks, who are defending state champions, made the finals again in Class 2A. Hart County, Glasgow and Danville also advanced in Class 2A.
