Band of Hawks have late date Saturday

The LaRue County marching band drew the final time Saturday for the State Marching Band Contest's West Regional.

The Band of Hawks are scheduled to take the field at 9:30 p.m. CDT Saturday at Warren East High School. The Class AAA West contest features 13 bands. The Class AAAA contest is being held earlier in the day at the same site.

Awards are set to be announced at 10 p.m. following an exhibition by Campbellsville University's band.

The regionals are qualifiers for next week's championships sponsored by the Kentucky Music Educators Association.
