Backpack program gets boost from ‘Idol Gives Back’

In its third year, the Backpack Program in LaRue County provides an invaluable service to area students who otherwise may have insufficient meals during weekends and other school breaks. Based purely on referrals from teachers, cafeteria personnel and family resource coordinators, students in need of food are finding relief from hunger.
