Safety at Home
As the disease progresses, the needs and abilities of a person with Alzheimer's or other dementias will change. This workshop will share tips and strategies for adapting the home to support these changes with a little creativity, flexibility and problem solving.
As the disease progresses, the needs and abilities of a person with Alzheimer's or other dementias will change. This program will explore creative avenues for connecting with a loved one who has been diagnosed and it will teach caregivers how to help their loved one to have meaningful experiences regardless of their current abilities.
Communicating and Relating
Sometimes the days are difficult for both the caregivers and the person with Alzheimer’s or other dementias. This program discusses the behavioral changes experienced by per
persons diagnosed and how caregivers can deal with these changes. Ways to connect with and care for a loved one will be explored while providing practical information in handling these challenges. This workshop is helpful for all caregivers, whether their loved one is at home or in a facility.
