Two Abraham Lincoln Elementary students surpassed all previous math and reading goals at the school this past school year.
Fifth-grader Shayne Wathen, a student of Todd Rogers, achieved 638.8 points with a 5.6 reading level and 93.6 percent comprehension rate in the Accelerated Reader Program.
In Accelerated Math, fifth-grader Matthew Warren took first place with 305 mastered math goals. Matthew is a student in Allison McDowell’s class. Both students received trophies and a gift certificate to Lincoln’s Loft.
