ALES students become Jr. Betas

27 fifth-graders meet requirements for membership

Twenty-seven ALES fifth-grade students met the National Beta requirements and were granted membership into the Jr. Beta Club in its second annual induction ceremony last month.

Students inducted were Keeahna Bowen, Nichole Thomas, Forrest Durham, Randy Young, Lexus Denham, Savannah Brooks, AnnClaire Gribbins, Matthew Warren, Jeremiah Gonzales, Katie Whitmer, Heaven Clater, Sarah Thurman, Elizabeth Ross, Hannah Jolly, Andrew Coy, Brooke Heibert, Autumn Roten, Dalton Metcalf, Preston Howell, Seneca Rackliffe, Ruben Reyes, Danielle Decker, Misty Williams, Abby French, Sierra Schmidt, Nick Sullivan and Shayne Wathen. The club sponsor is Allison McDowell.

The club held a Parent’s Day Out before Christmas and made blankets for the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Hardin County. Other service projects planned for the near future include a food drive with Second Harvest and FYRC, assisting in the ALES Blood Drive on Feb. 3 and making more blankets.
