ALES announces September Lincoln Cabinet recipients

The faculty of Abraham Lincoln Elementary is proud to announce its September Lincoln Presidential Cabinet recipients.

Representing the classified staff is Carla Graham, the school’s technology resource technician. Graham was chosen for her willingness to complete any task asked of her whether troubleshooting a computer problem or setting up a keyboarding class for a teacher. She is an essential part of the school’s morning student television broadcast on WABE and is always ready to help a family with the Renaissance program or create the day-long powerpoint for the school.

The certified staff is represented by Melissa Newby. She teaches kindergarten and is known for her summer family visits and high student expectations. She displays a “whatever-it-takes” attitude with all families and students with her daily notes and e-mails to parents celebrating both accomplishments and areas where students might be struggling.

Both are actively involved in extensive professional development and provide loving environments for the ALES students. They are true assets to the school.

The cabinet members receive a restaurant gift card, corsage, fudge sampler, office supplies, massage, and book store gift card for their achievement.
