Seventy-two fifth-grade students from Hodgenville Elementary and Abraham Lincoln Elementary were granted membership into the National Junior Beta Association Nov. 24 at Abraham Lincoln Elementary. Beta members from LaRue County Middle School assisted sponsors Allison McDowell and Traci Weaver in the induction ceremony held before a crowd of parents and teachers. As members of this association, students must not only meet academic requirements, but display leadership and community spirit.
