Kentucky’s General Assembly just gave the state’s Transportation Cabinet the go-ahead to begin consideration for additional median barriers along Interstate 65 including a mile-long stretch in LaRue County.
The newly passed Transportation budget will allow the cabinet to research where concrete barriers will be most effective along the interstate and then place them in these locations as a temporary fix. These barriers would help to fill in the gaps where no median cable or concrete barriers already exist, officials said.
