Wet roads contributed to a wreck Thursday morning that claimed the life of a 62-year-old Hodgenville man.
Roger D. Nelson was killed this morning when he was thrown from his vehicle on Kentucky 210 nine miles east of Hodgenville, Kentucky State Police report.
The vehicle was heading east on Kentucky 210 when Nelson apparently lost control, the KSP accident investigation report says. After leaving the road, the vehicle hit an earthen embankment, began to spin and the driver's side door came open, KSP reported.
Nelson was thrown from the vehicle and into a guardrail on the north side of the highway, the report said.
KSP said the wreck occurred at 10:28 a.m. Thursday. The Buffalo Fire Department and LaRue County EMS also were called to the wreck scene.
