2010 is a new beginning for each of us

Aren’t you happy to be living and see the beginning of a new year? What expectations we have of ourselves ...

  • Read my Bible from beginning to end this year.
  • Pray every day, more than once.
  • Treat others like I want them to treat me.
  • Do something good for someone each day.
  • Be aware of what I say, and how I say it.
  • Think positive, not negative.
  • Talk positive, not negative.
  • Put others needs before my own.

I could go on and on, but unless I’m sincere, disciplined and committed I’ll never do what I say. I know all of us have good intentions, but there is just something inside the most of us that we never keep the list we make.

How does God put up with us? We are forever going to do better, always wanting to change everything, never happy or satisfied with what we have, wanting everyone to see things as we do. What a merciful God we have! He is faithful though we are not.

This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, but his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: Great is thy faithfulness. Lamentations 3: 21-23
